Workshops & Presentations

I frequently teach workshops and do presentations for a wide range of groups, including family history enthusiasts, genealogists, professional photo organizers, and museum and archive professionals.

Topics focus on family heirlooms and what it means to be “archival,” but can be tailored to your organization. Presentations range from 1.5 - 4 hours, and can include a demonstration of working with archival materials or even some hands-on time. My work at Archival Methods gives me access to a full slate of training materials, including archival boxes, binders, portfolios, and all types of enclosures.

Recent programs include:

  • Preserving Family Heirlooms

  • Museum-Quality Storage for Photographs & Memorabilia

  • Decoding 1SO 18902: What Does It Mean to be “Archival?”

The class met my expectations and more. I feel confident that I can start to archive my heirlooms on my own. I am very glad to understand the standard of archival products and what to look for.
